In yet another example of the recognition it continues to earn for its proven disease control, REGEV Hybrid Fungicide has been included as a treatment option in Minn-Dak’s latest guide to Cercospora leaf spot management.
Published in the June 2024 issue of Beet Topics, a newsletter produced by the cooperative’s research and development team, the guide presents several helpful insights into how to combat Cercospora leaf spot this year. The main feature is MDFC’s 2024 Fungicide Program for CR+ varieties, which names REGEV as an option for the triazole part of the program.
Over several years of field trials, REGEV has proven itself to be an effective tool for protecting sugar beets from Cercospora. However, unlike the other triazole options, REGEV can also control bacterial diseases, thanks to its innovative combination of a triazole (difenoconazole) with a biological (tea tree extract). That additional protection can make a difference to the quality of sugar beets, and the amount of recoverable sugar. Plus, REGEV offers preventive, curative and anti-sporulant activity, empowering growers to combat disease throughout the pathogen’s life cycle.
